A family history in the making

The La Madeleine winery nestles in the valley that rises from the village of Otricoli in the direction of Narni. The Tiber valley and the city of Ocriculum, with its ancient river port, are not far away. The Via Flaminia passes by, skirting an area steeped in history and traces of Roman civilization.

The propensity of the medium-textured soil, which tends to be clayey and rich in rock fragments, and the personal taste of the producers made us decide to cultivate international varieties: Cabernet Franc, Tannat and Marselan.
